DraftKings Predictions

DraftKings Predictions is the sportsbook giant’s prediction market app. It lets users in eligible US states trade event contracts on sports, finance and more under federal CFTC rules rather than state betting licences. It launched in December 2025 and since June 2026 has run on DraftKings’ own exchange. How it developed

• October 2025: DraftKings bought Railbird, a CFTC-designated exchange.
• December 2025: DraftKings Predictions launched in 38 states plus Washington, DC, initially using CME Group as the exchange.
• June 2026: DraftKings launched DKeX, its own exchange built on Railbird, integrated into its main Sports & Casino app as well as the standalone Predictions app.

Sports vs non-sports contracts

When it launched, DraftKings said it wouldn’t offer sports contracts in states where it holds a sportsbook licence; there, its regular sportsbook serves sports bettors. In other eligible states, Predictions offers sports event contracts. Finance and other non-sports contracts are more widely available. DraftKings publishes the current list of eligible states on its Predictions site; check it for your state.

Who can use it

Users must be US residents physically located in an eligible jurisdiction. The standalone iPhone app is rated 18+; some states may set a higher age.
