Best prediction market apps

Kalshi, Polymarket, Robinhood, Coinbase, Crypto.com, FanDuel, DraftKings, Novig and PredictIt compared.

There are more ways to trade on events than ever. Two years ago the choice in the US was Kalshi or nothing; now brokers, crypto exchanges and sportsbooks all run prediction market apps, most of them on top of a CFTC-regulated exchange. Here’s how the main ones compare, what each is best for and who can use it.

The short list

App Best for Regulation Money
Kalshi Widest range of US markets CFTC exchange USD, crypto deposits
Polymarket Deepest global markets (outside the US); Polymarket US app for Americans Offshore exchange · CFTC for US app pUSD (USDC-backed) · USD (US)
Robinhood Trading events next to stocks and crypto Broker, routing to Kalshi and other exchanges USD
Coinbase Crypto users in the US Exchange, markets via Kalshi USD, crypto
Crypto.com Sports and crypto event contracts Its own CFTC-regulated exchange USD
FanDuel Predicts Sports fans in states without legal betting CFTC-regulated, built with CME Group USD
DraftKings Predictions Fantasy and sports players CFTC-regulated venue USD
Novig Sports-only trading CFTC exchange since June 2026 USD
PredictIt Small-stakes political markets CFTC no-action relief USD

Kalshi: best overall in the US

Kalshi has the widest range of markets of any US app: sports, elections, economics, weather, culture and more, plus combos (parlays). It’s been a CFTC-regulated exchange since 2020 and funds in dollars by bank transfer, card or crypto. Fees are charged per contract and peak at 1.75¢ at a 50¢ price. Several states are suing over its sports contracts. Read our Kalshi profile.

Polymarket: best for depth and global markets

Polymarket is the world’s biggest prediction market by volume, with the deepest books on world politics and crypto. The main exchange settles in pUSD, a USDC-backed dollar token, and is closed to US residents and many other countries; Americans use the separate, CFTC-regulated Polymarket US app, which started with sports. Read our Polymarket profile.

Robinhood and Coinbase: events inside the app you already use

Both brokers offer event contracts without a separate exchange account: Coinbase’s are powered by Kalshi, and Robinhood routes orders to Kalshi and other regulated exchanges, including its own Rothera venture (see Kalshi vs Robinhood). The trade-off is a narrower selection than Kalshi itself and each broker’s own fees on top.

Crypto.com: sports and crypto contracts

Crypto.com lists event contracts through its own CFTC-regulated US derivatives exchange, covering sports, politics, economics and crypto prices. It’s a natural choice if you already hold an account there.

FanDuel Predicts and DraftKings Predictions: sportsbooks go federal

The two biggest US sportsbooks both launched prediction market apps. They’re aimed mainly at sports fans in states where traditional sports betting isn’t legal, using CFTC-regulated contracts instead of state betting licences. FanDuel’s product was built with CME Group. Expect a sportsbook-style experience and a sports-heavy market list.

Novig: sports-only exchange

Novig became a CFTC-designated contract market in June 2026 and launched its sports exchange nationally that August. It focuses purely on sports, with a peer-to-peer model aimed at tighter prices than a sportsbook. Read our Novig profile.

PredictIt: the political veteran

PredictIt has run political markets since 2014 and is known for small position limits. It’s useful for niche political questions but can’t match the bigger exchanges for liquidity or market range.

  • Outside the US and allowed to use it? Polymarket’s main exchange for depth and range; Kalshi in its 140+ supported countries.
  • Comparing prices? Our live board shows Polymarket and Kalshi side by side.

Are prediction market apps legal?
The apps above operate under CFTC oversight in the US, but several states dispute sports contracts in court, and many countries restrict prediction markets entirely.
Which prediction market app has the lowest fees?
Fees are close: Kalshi and Polymarket both charge takers up to about 1–1.75¢ per contract at 50¢. Placing limit orders and waiting for a fill avoids most fees on both.
