What moves title odds
- Early-season results. November and December non-conference games against top opponents reprice contenders fastest.
- Injuries and eligibility. In college basketball one star can carry a team, so an injury moves the price more than in the NBA.
- Conference play and seeding. A top seed means an easier early path, and the bracket released on Selection Sunday reprices every team at once.
- The tournament itself. Once play starts in March, eliminated teams drop to zero and survivors jump after every round.

Each Kalshi contract settles “Yes” if that team is the 2026-27 Division I men’s college basketball national champion, and “No” otherwise. Kalshi notes it isn’t affiliated with the NCAA.
