Who wins the College Football Playoff? These are the live national championship odds for the 2026 season from Polymarket and Kalshi, plus Kalshi’s markets on which teams make the 12-team field. The title game is on January 25, 2027 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Live odds · Kalshi
National champion: Kalshi
Latest price of each outcome, read as a chance. Updated every few minutes.
Each price is the cost of a share that pays $1 if that team wins the title, so it reads as the market’s chance. Kalshi uses short school names (for example “Ohio St.”) and Polymarket full names with nicknames, so the two venues are shown in separate tables.
Who makes the playoff?
Kalshi lists one market per team on whether it qualifies for the 12-team bracket. These are much higher-priced than the title odds: a team can be a strong bet to make the field and still a long shot to win it.

Weekly rankings markets
The selection committee publishes a ranking each week in November and early December, and Kalshi lists markets on who will appear in it. They’re a good read on how traders expect the committee to see each team:

How the 12-team playoff works
- Who gets in. The five highest-ranked conference champions are guaranteed spots, and the seven highest-ranked remaining teams fill the field.
- Seeding. The bracket is seeded straight from the committee’s final ranking. The top four seeds get a first-round bye.
- First round. Seeds 5 to 12 play on the higher seed’s campus, starting December 18, 2026.
- Bowls. The quarterfinals and semifinals are played at the CFP bowl sites, and the championship game is on January 25, 2027 at Allegiant Stadium.
The CFP kept this format for the 2026–27 season. Dates and format from the CFP’s published schedule and recent reporting, checked October 2026.
What moves title odds
- Losses in November. One late loss can drop a contender out of the top four and cost it a bye, or out of the field entirely.
- Conference title games. Championship weekend decides the five guaranteed champion spots and reshuffles seeds.
- Quarterback injuries. As in the NFL, nothing moves a team’s price faster.
- The committee’s rankings. Each weekly ranking shows how the committee sees teams, and prices react to it.
