Where is Ethereum’s price heading? Instead of one analyst’s target, here’s what traders with money on the line expect, live from Polymarket and Kalshi. Each price is the market’s chance that ETH reaches, or finishes above, a given level by a given date.
Ethereum in 2026: which prices will it hit?
Polymarket’s yearly ladder has one market per price level. “↑ 3,000” is the chance ETH trades at or above $3,000 at any point before the year ends; “↓ 2,000” is the chance it trades at or below $2,000.

Which price do these markets use?
Not all ETH prices are the same, so each market names its source:
| Market | Price source |
|---|---|
| Polymarket “Ethereum above ___ on [date]” | The Binance ETH/USDT one-minute candle closing at 12:00 noon Eastern on that date |
| Kalshi “Ethereum price at the end of 2026” | The average of 60 seconds of CF Benchmarks’ ETHUSD Real Time Index before midnight Eastern on January 1, 2027 |
Other markets have their own rules; open the market and read them before trading. Rules checked October 2026.
How to read a price ladder
Read the levels together. If “↑ 3,000” trades at 30% and “↑ 3,500” at 15%, the market puts about a 15% chance on Ethereum’s high for the year landing between those two levels. Touch markets (“hit”) and close markets (“above on a date”) answer different questions, so a level can be likely to be touched but unlikely to be the closing price.
Ethereum usually moves more than Bitcoin in percentage terms, so even distant levels can carry real odds. Compare with the Bitcoin ladder to see how traders rate the two.
